The Business Wallet Ibex Edition stands for style, function and quality in equal measure. Made from premium genuine leather in an exclusive black edition, it sets the bar for business wallets: plenty of room for cards, notes and coins, in a slim shape that stays flat in a jacket pocket.
The layout gives you compartments for all the cards you carry every day, a full-width note section and a separate coin pocket with a press stud. The dark leather looks understated, wears exceptionally well and takes on its own patina over time, so the wallet becomes recognisably yours.

We combine rustic design with a modern touch, and that is how we built our brand Hodalump & Ratschkatl®.

Our wallets and accessories are made from natural, renewable raw materials. All products are made from high-quality leather entirely by hand and become loyal companions to our customers.
We use only natural leather sourced from the food chain. This ensures that we treat nature's resources responsibly and with respect for the environment.
Why are your wallets so extremely durable?
It is quite simple: we make our wallets exclusively by hand from genuine full-grain buffalo leather, considered the toughest leather in the world. We also seal the surface using a special sanding technique. As you use the wallet, a living patina develops that underlines the individual character of this expressive leather.
What exactly is a Hodalump?
A Hodalump is, roughly translated, a cheeky fellow with a few tricks up his sleeve.
He is funny, knows everything better, and nobody puts anything past him!
He is the alpha, the boss – or simply put, a Hodalump.

Care instructions:
Clean the surface thoroughly with a damp cloth. Then apply leather care (available from us) with a soft, clean cloth and massage it in gently. Avoid chemical cleaning agents.
Safety notes:
✔ Material behaviour: As this is a natural product, the colour may change slightly due to external influences such as moisture.
✔ Use: Do not store the product near open flames or extreme temperatures.
✔ Note for allergy sufferers: Genuine leather may contain natural and chemical tanning agents. Sensitive skin may react to them.

Leather care
Care: keeping it looking good for years
Leather is skin. It dries out, and dried-out leather cracks — almost always first where it is bent every day: at the fold of a wallet, along the holes of a belt, where a strap meets the body. That kind of damage cannot be repaired. Everything else can.
Prevention takes little effort. Two or three times a year, a thin layer of leather grease, left to soak in, done. After a proper downpour or a Wiesn season, sooner. Our leather grease nourishes the leather, keeps it supple and makes it water-repellent without discolouring it or leaving it sticky.
The amount matters: apply it thinly. A thick layer does not give you better-kept leather, just a greasy surface that holds dust. And leather does not like heat — not on the radiator, not in direct sun, not in the tumble dryer. Leather that has got wet dries slowly at room temperature, and is only greased afterwards.
None of this applies to suede and nubuck. There, grease seals the open surface and leaves it dark and blotchy — those pieces are brushed dry.

Production process
How leather goods are made at Hodalump & Ratschkatl
Behind every single piece from Hodalump & Ratschkatl lies genuine craftsmanship: decades of experience, precise handwork and a passion for detail that you can see – and feel.
1. Choosing the material: The process begins with the careful selection of high-quality materials. Only the best full-grain buffalo, goat or cowhide leather – sourced from the food chain and left natural – is used for our leather goods.
2. Cutting: Experienced craftspeople cut the leather into precise shapes according to the product design. Every piece is cut individually to make sure it fits perfectly and shows the natural grain of the leather at its best.
3. Stitching and double seams: The individual parts are carefully sewn together by hand. Particular attention goes to the double seam at the most demanding points of the product, which not only creates a robust join but is also a hallmark of our products.
4. Oiling and tanning: After stitching, the leather goods are oiled with high-quality vegetable oil to make the leather supple and bring out its natural colour. This step also gives the leather a certain resistance to external influences.
5. Finishing and patina: A special sanding technique seals the surface, which not only creates a beautiful sheen but also allows a living patina to develop. This patina keeps evolving over time and makes every wallet unique.
6. Quality control: Every product passes the strictest quality checks to make sure it meets our high standards. Despite these checks, a seam occasionally comes loose because of the individual nature of the leather. Every order therefore comes with an automatic two-year guarantee: should a manufacturing fault occur, simply contact us and we will send you a replacement free of charge.

Diese Lederbrieftasche wird für Qualität und Wert hoch gelobt. Die Kunden lobten „sehr gute Qualität zu einem guten Preis“ und lobten das „weiche, angenehme Leder“ und die „praktische Organisation“. Viele stellten fest, dass ausreichend Platz für Karten vorhanden war. Einige Bedenken: Ein Käufer fand eine Größe größer als erwartet, ein anderer übersah das Sternzeichen-Detail, und die Verpackungsqualität schwankte, und es gab Beschwerden über die billige Präsentation.

Die Lieferung kam ruckzuck. Der Geldbeutel ist sauber verarbeitet, sehr funktional und hat ein schönes Design. Das Leder fasst sich gut an. Und das alles für ein top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
Was mir am besten gefallen hat sind zwei Dinge: erstens beweist Hodalump, dass man auch in Deutschland super Qualität zu einem guten Preis bieten kann. Und zweitens finde ich das Engagement des Unternehmens super, wie sehr es sich um Kundengewinnung und - begeisterung bemüht. Absolut empfehlenswert!
Das Kleines Echt Leder Portemonnaie kam gut verpackt bei mir an. Überall waren kleine Pappstücke drin um das Leder zu schützen. Es ist wirklich wunderschön, egal ob für Mann oder Frau. Das Leder scheint sehr robust zu sein und fühlt sich wirklich gut an. Die Nähte sind sehr gut verarbeitet. Laut Hersteller ist es Handgemacht, was mir sehr zuspricht. Das Naturbelassene Voll-Rind Leder hat eine Sehr ansprechende Farbe, aber natürlich finde ich es viel schöner, wenn es mit der Zeit nachdunkelt.Einen Stern muss ich leider abziehen, weil es auf den Produkt Fotos den Anschein macht, als wenn Geldscheine komplett reinpassen. Es wirkt viel größer als es ist, auch wenn in der Beschreibung steht, dass es handlich ist. Das kann, denke ich mal, jeder anders auslegen. Mir kommt es trotzdem sehr gelegen, dass es so klein ist. Man muss nur jeden Schein vorher falten, was etwas nervig ist.Trotzdem überwiegen die Vorteile. Ein wirklich sehr schönes und qualitativ hochwertiges Portemannaie.
Die Hodalump Geldbörse aus hochwertigem Leder mit samtweicher Haptik wurde sorgfältig verarbeitet. Die Nähte sind ordentlich und das verwendete Garn passt farblich perfekt. Das satte Braun des Leders ist absolut gleichmäßig. Zum Schutz war an den Kontaktstellen (Leder auf Leder) stabiles braunes Papier eingelegt.Die Aufteilung gefällt mir gut: im Geldscheinfach ist Platz für ein paar (gefaltete) Scheine, und es gibt ein kleines Münzfach mit gut schließendem Druckknopf. Dazu vier Fächer in Kreditkartengröße – eins mit seitlichem Einschub, zwei mit Einschub von oben und ein Sichtfach mit Netzgewebe.In drei Punkten entspricht der Artikel, den ich erhalten habe, nicht der Beschreibung:1. die Börse wurde nicht in einer Geschenkbox geliefert (wie angegeben), sondern in einem simplen Kunststofftütchen. Das passt gar nicht gut zu dem schönen Leder. Da ich die Börse verschenken möchte, ist das natürlich schade.2. sie kann – anders, als es die Produktfotos vermuten lassen – nur gefaltete Geldscheine aufnehmen. Andernfalls ragen sie oben heraus. Auf der Abbildung wirkt der 10€-Schein auf der linken Seite nicht höher als das Portemonnaie selbst, bei mir steht er jedoch fast 1cm über. Auch kleine Scheine müssen also gefaltet werden!3. in der Beschreibung ist von einem "Reißverschluss mit extra Lederzieher" die Rede. Wie man den Abbildungen entnehmen kann, gibt es ihn aber nicht.Wer mit den genannten Einschränkungen leben kann, findet hier eine hübsche kleine Börse, die locker in die Hosentasche passt.
Das Portemonnaie macht einen guten Eindruck und riecht lecker nach Leder..

Are your leather goods waterproof?
Our leather goods are made from high-quality, robust buffalo leather that is naturally water-repellent. Light rain is no problem, but they are not fully waterproof.
To keep your Hodalump products in good shape, we recommend regular care with our leather grease. If your bag or wallet gets wet, let it dry slowly in the air – never directly on a radiator. Dirt can be removed carefully with a dry cloth.
With the right care, your Hodalump stays a reliable companion in any weather.
How long does shipping take?
We know you want your new Hodalump bag in your hands as soon as possible. That is why we usually ship orders within 24 hours of receiving payment.
Delivery within Germany takes about 1–2 working days. Orders to other European countries can take 2–4 working days depending on the country. We work with reliable carriers such as DHL to make sure your parcel arrives quickly and safely.
