Our leather wallets and accessories are made from natural and renewable raw materials. Therefore, all products are handmade from high-quality leather and are loyal companions to our customers.
Only natural leather from the food chain is used in the production of leather goods. This ensures that we handle nature's resources responsibly and environmentally consciously.
Why are your wallets so extremely durable?
It's quite simple: we handcraft our wallets exclusively from genuine full-grain buffalo leather, which is considered the most robust leather in the world. Additionally, we seal the surface of the wallets using a special grinding technique. During the use of our wallets, this creates a lively patina that emphasizes the individual character of this expressive leather.
What exactly is a Hodalump?
A Hodalump is, translated, a cheeky fellow who is very cunning.

1. Material Selection: The process begins with the careful selection of high-quality materials. Only the best full-grain buffalo leather, goat leather, or cowhide that comes from the food chain and is naturally processed is used for our leather goods.
2. Cutting: Experienced craftsmen cut the leather into precise shapes according to the product's design. Each piece is cut individually to ensure a perfect fit and to optimally showcase the leather's natural grain.
3. Stitching and Double Seam: The individual parts are carefully stitched together by hand. Special attention is paid to the double seam at the most critical points of the product, which not only ensures a robust connection but is also a characteristic feature of our products.
4. Oiling and Tanning: After stitching, the leather goods are oiled with high-quality vegetable oil to make the leather supple and to emphasize its natural color. This step also gives the leather a certain resistance to external influences.
5. Finishing and Patina: A special sanding technique seals the surface, which not only provides a beautiful shine but also creates a lively patina. This patina develops over time, making each wallet a unique one-of-a-kind item.
6. Quality Control: Every product undergoes the strictest quality controls to ensure it meets our high standards. Despite these controls, it occasionally happens that a seam comes undone due to the individual nature of the leather. Therefore, every order automatically comes with a 2-year guarantee: Should a production error occur, please simply contact us and we will send you a free replacement.

Our leather goods are made from high-quality, durable buffalo leather, which is naturally water-repellent. They're not afraid of light rain, but they're not completely waterproof.
To ensure the longevity of your Hodalump products, we recommend regular care with our leather lubricant. If your bag or wallet gets wet, let it air dry slowly, but not directly on a heater. Dirt can be carefully removed with a dry cloth.
With proper care, your Hodalump will remain a reliable companion in any weather.
